Kids profiles, Kids Mode and the parent PIN
Give a child a safe profile, lock it with a PIN, and how to get out if the PIN is forgotten.

A kids profile shows only channels Tugel has approved for kids, hides comments and live chat, and can’t open Settings or Tugel Studio. Kids Mode does the same for the profile you are using right now, on this device only — handy when you hand your phone to a child.
Set it up
- Open Settings → Account → Profiles and add a profile with Kids profile turned on, or turn on kids mode for an existing profile. For a quick switch, choose Kids Mode in the account menu instead.
- The first time, you create a parent PIN (4 digits). The PIN is what lets you back out, so keep it from the kids.
- Optional: set a content filter and screen-time limits for the kids profile under Settings → Account.
Get out again
Open the account menu and choose Leave kids profile or Turn off Kids Mode, then enter your parent PIN. Switching to any grown-up profile asks for the PIN too.
Forgot the PIN, or never created one?
Your account password always works in place of the PIN: in the PIN dialog, select Use your account password instead. If your account has no PIN at all, the dialog asks for your password right away — a child can’t just click their way out, and you can never be locked in. After you get out with the password we offer to create a PIN, and you can change or remove the PIN any time under Settings → Account → Parent PIN.
Kids profiles can only be created, and kids mode only turned on, once the account has a parent PIN — so there is always a way back.
